You know you're in the country--when

You know you are in the country when:
1. you have to drive 20 miles to a grocery store.
2. you see deer in your back yard.
3. you always look when you hear a vehicle outside.
4. you can't talk to your neighbors over the fence.
5. you see hundreds of birds.
6. you have a brisk walk to the mail box.
7. your neighbor uses a paper cup for a spitune at your house.
8. your neighbors show up with all kinds of goodies from the garden.
9. you drive 20 miles for church.
10. you don't see anyone for days at a time.
11. there aren't any resturants except fast food in your town.
12. your dentist is 50 miles from home.
13. you have no trick or treaters at holloween.
14. you decorate for christmas so you only can enjoy it.
15. your afternoon for excitment is watching T.V.
16. you can undress with windows open and no one will see you.
17. you have to give directions to your house.
18. your not on the map
19 you have not cell signal where you live.
20. if your out of something--forget it--make something else.

But I love it!! most of the time.

The day after

Well, this is the evening after "The day after". Does that make sense? I think everyone knows what I am referring to. You know you are living in a small community when you go to the poll to cast you one special vote and you see an outhouse ourside of the polling booth. We walk in, see 2 voting booths and walk right up, sign our name a few times, vote and are out in a few minutes. Anyway, for me living in a very rural state out among nowhere is probably a blessing. Since we don't know what the furture will hold we will be harder to find!! The results of "The day after" might bring changes that none of us want to be a part of. That's my personal view of the situation. Today we had to take the trailer up to Creston RV -8 miles north of Crossville to have the refrigerator worked on. It was recalled, and he fixed it so now it is supposed to work. We'll see. Instead of pulling it into the pad we backed it in and put it on the upper pad. Much, much easier to back in and pull out. Also it will give anyone staying in the rig more privacy. Sat. we are having Anita and Earl and Betty over for dinner. He doesn't have any teeth so I am planning on serving meatloaf, scallop pot for dinner. We still have a number of things to get finished, but nothing pressing. Stacy, I am sure you are so very happy trying to get everything finished, but more so, just have Jose home to be with you in all your planning and to be by your side. I am so happy for you. Me, no more Chemo, halleluia!!!!!!!!!!!! Our prayer will be you can taste everything on Thanksgiving day. I will be thinking of you the whole day even tho I won't be there. Christina, you new web page is great. YOu should also do calligraphy and put that on your web page as well. That might go well too. Love each oone of you and you are always on my heart and mind.
